Cirque Troumouse

JULY 24

The restaurant 'Auberge du Maillet' is at 1,837 meters above sea level. In the valley of Troumouse. We were higher still 1/3 way up on the road to the 'Cirque Troumouse' , don't know exactly.

These are the roads we drove up on. Narrow and twisty. Major fun. Still higher.

Still higher.

This is our rental car. It did well going up the mountain. Manual transmission with a diesel turbo 1.5 litre. Don't laugh it climbs like a bat out of hell.

We made it to the top at 'Cirque Troumouse'. The grass always tastes better the higher it is.

The idea was to take a picture of the mountains but this bull did not want to cooperate. But seriously, check out the muscles. I wasn't about to argue.

We were surrounded by mountains. That is why it is called 'Cirque Troumouse' such as cirque=circle.

These pictures were taken from the restaurant 'Auberge du Maillet' at 1,837 meters.
